It looked like it held potential to be a wonderfully beautiful game. Upon playing, this was by far one of the worst games I've played. I'll admit, I'm not a huge gamer but the graphics are extremely glitchy, the controls function poorly, I do not like how I cannot easily exit from the game, and there is no explanation upon start to even clue you in on what controls you need for basic use of the game. I had a decently confusing time figuring out the first platform simply because as someone that does not frequently play many different games, I was unsure of what the controls were. Then there are spots that you can fall into deep "holes" and there is simply no way to jump out. This is not a game I would recommend at all. Even if it is cheap, I would say, don't waste your money on it and spend your money elsewhere.. This game was not like what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised. Remnants of a Beautiful Day is not exactly a 'game'. It is more of a place. Pros: + Great soundtrack; matches the environments well + Very pretty + In general, good controls + Fantastic, varied level design with a dream-like feel to itCons: - Some platforming issues, invisible walls, etc.In all, I would reccomend this as a sort of 'virtual park' to explore; it's not exactly a game.. So so BORINGThere's no continuity or design in the layout or visuals, and it just feels like a load of random half-finished ideas thrown together in whatever order they came across them. There's almost nothing to do except walk around aimlessly...and even that doesn't work well as you can get stuck in places. Oh, and there's a REALLY bad input lag as well.. Meh. This game kinda feels like the creators had a lot of half-finished CG models floating around on their hard drive that they decided to mash together into a mediocre platforming engine and make a "game". Kinda interesting, but ultimately it feels more like a tech demo than a game.Unfortunately, the game also doesn't seem to know just how big your character is, so you're constantly getting caught on ledges and edges that look like they should just be set decoration. There were also several times when I wasn't certain if things disappearing and reappearing was intentional or just a super buggy game. I think most were intentional, but there's no real good way to be sure. The whole thing just feels really really unpolished.Final Verdict: An intersting idea, but I think that's all that we have here.. Remnants is a jumping puzzle game. It brings me back to platformers I played on the n64. The 3d first person completely manual camera takes some time to get used to but it's part of the challenge I found. I loved the music. Really set the mood perfectly.Was this really made in 3 days?. Until developers implement working rebind keys options and mouse Y invert i cannot recommend this game. WASD only piece of concrete... To exit the game you need to go back to the very beginning. This is a pain for me using that default keys layout. I can't say anything about other aspects of the game becausae i almost can't play it. Too sad.... This game was absolutely beautiful and a treat to explore. Since it has several different endings, it has a lot of replay value and I can really appreciate the strangeness and challenge of it all. Sure, it was a bit frustrating at times, but it made it all the more rewarding when you finally overcome that obstable. It seems like this game has a lot of meaning and thought put into it and I really appreciate that. It almost feels like the ending received says something about the player. It starts you out in a calm, soothing environment for the first two stages then things start to get gradually darker and darker. It's truly a work of art and I deeply wish that this game was a lot more popular because it deserves it.. Its not bad, it has a spooky atmosphere without taking the easy way out and jump-scaring you.
